Okay, okay…I’m sorry. No country was included in the making of the list. In my defense, I live in Canada and it is snowy and -30 and country music is SO MUCH BETTER in a pair of daisy dukes, with a glass of iced tea on a sunny day.

I hope your June is going well so far! In Alberta (Canada), it’s finally lush and green, with the addition of a few incredible thunderstorms. I have been enjoying the weather – that won’t last long enough hear – alongside some music I would love to share with you!

  • A band completely worth checking out. Made up of Jim James, Elvis Costello, Marcus Mumford, Taylor Goldsmith and Rhiannon Giddens, these artists recreate unrecorded Bob Dylan songs.
• Every Morning – Sugar Ray (throwback to the 90’s, sitting in a little restaurant listening to Sugar Ray and Nickleback)
• Cringe (Stripped) – Matt Maeson (soooo much soul)
• Once – Maren Morris (the feels)

JANUARY | MUSIC

I wanted to share a few songs that I’ve been loving lately. They aren’t necessarily new to me, but a sunny drive and some soulful tunes have helped me kick the blues.
John Mayer: Heartbreak Warfare and Stop This Train (he is a stunning artist and these songs bring my back to some high school memories)

James Bay: Let It Go and Hold Back the River 

Hozier: From Eden and Work Song

Jasmine Thompson: Fast Car– I just recently came across her. From what I can tell, she does mostly covers but they are BRILLIANT. She has the gorgeous, unique voice and she’s from Britain, I believe (for my UK followers ☺️)

Vance Joy: Mess Is Mine

Kygo: Firestone – this song is SO much fun. Incredible instrumentals.
